Designing Water brand identity and website

Longwood Gardens and the American Academy in Rome convened a symposium on water—arguably the most compelling and consequential design matter of the twenty-first century. I led our team in developing a graphic identity for the event, including brand guidelines, event materials, and a microsite. The handmade textures and dynamic typography offer a lush celebration of water, acknowledging history while signalling change. They embrace the tension between design and nature, control and chance, permanence and flux.
